Hi Everyone, I hope that everyone is well. A number of things to catch up on. Firstly, another great weekend with The Throwbacks and a great gig in the evening, and a huge thanks to everyone who came and supported us. The total raised so far for CRUK has exceeded £600, so thank you.
I've started to work on a new project about Ambleside, past and present. I'm really pleased to be working with the very talented Bailey Moore on this and hoping to produce an album as well as some live performances.
I had a really enjoyable time at the Grove Barn Cafe BBQ last month, so I'm really looking forward to returning in November. I'm also looking forward to working with Mik Mead, helping him put on a charity music day at the Unicorn Inn in aid of the Air Ambulance, a very worthy cause. Hope to see you at any of the gigs. Hello Everyone, apologies for not posting any news for a while. Things have not been especially busy, but I have still been writing along with the odd gig. The Throwbacks played a gig back in March, which was great fun, so thanks to all involved and I'm really looking forward to , what is becoming an annual event, the Charity event at the Ambleside Parish Centre in September to raise money for CRUK.
I was looking forward to playing a gig with Mik Mead at the Langdale festival (another charity event), but sadly Mik is struggling healthwise, so I will be playing the gig solo. I hope Mik is feeling better and stronger sooner.

Hello Everyone, Thanks to all those who turned up at the gig last Saturday and to all those who helped make it a such a success. A special thanks to all the guest singers and musicians; Jak Marshall, Christine McLachlan, Laura Firth and Em Birkett. A special thanks too to Dan Marshall for his excellent work on the sound. My grateful thanks, as always, to the Throwbacks: Fred Chevalier, Colin Marshall, Desmond James and Rosie Hunter.
I am very pleased to let you know that the event raised just over £400. SO thanks again to everyone who contributed.

Hello Everyone, just to let you know that the new album is now ready. Thanks to all those who helped to get it ready. It looks great, thanks to Dan of Protect the Moose and to Clone Media, not to mention the musicians. Very much looking forward to the gig with the Throwbacks this Saturday, 30th August, at Ambleside Parish Centre, in aid of Cancer Research UK. It would great to see you there if you can make it.

Hello everyone, I hope this finds you all well. Things have been busy and continue to be so. The Langdale festival gig with Mik Mead and Bev Whelan went well. Looking forward to the Furness Tradition festival and then the third annual gathering with The Throwbacks and guests at the end of August. The new album is getting there. I have been fortunate enough to have had help recently from Christine McLoughlan (vocals), Desmond James (drums) and Mike Willoughby (melodian) to finish off the new songs. I am going through the process of mixing and mastering, so I am optimistic that it will be ready for The Throwbacks gathering. Sadly the Open Mic nights at the Unicorn are now cancelled as the Unicorn doesn't wish to invest in the evenings! Thanks to all the local musicians and especially to Dan Briston for all his help. I am also no longer using fcaebook, for a variety of reasons, including the links with the orange man across the sea, not to mention the negative effects on many. Also please look out for the new video on You Tube, also on the gallery page.

Hello everyone, I hope this finds you all well. I had such a good time at the Furness Tradition, despite the best efforts of the heat! Thanks to all who came to listen. Looking forward to the gig with Mik & Bev coming up soon, and then very much looking forward to the Throwbacks weekend and the gig, with guests, Laura Firth, Christine McLoughlan and the Marshall clan from MK.
The album is done and with the printers, thanks to all those who helped, especially Dan Marshall at Protect the Moose for all he did with the artwork. Thanks to Clone Media in advance for the expertise with the reproduction process.
After the Croydon gig, it looks like being a quieter period, perhaps no bad thing!
